Result of National Eligibility cum Entrance Test

NEET: National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for medical Courses.

It is an entrance exam test to get entry in the top colleges of medical sciences in India for the courses like Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Master of Science or Medical Bachelor Degree course.

National eligibility-cum-entrance exams are conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education in the year 2020.

Prior to 2012 Central Board of Secondary Education was conducting the AIPMT for the admission in medical field and their use to be two tests in that format of exam.

In 2012, Government of India included India as one country and put forward one entrance for medical collages National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test for medical admission.

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test was recommended to take place of AIPMT in 2013, but because of opposition from many states and various collages, Medical council our country and Central Board of Secondary Education put National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test on clutch for a year.

For the first time, National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test was conducted in 2013 but more than 80 cases were registered in the court.

In the year 2019-2020,the Supreme Court cleared the course of the test and after that first phase of the exam was organized by CBSE.

National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Results 2016 results will be declared on 17th August, 2016 on the official site of CBSE and National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test.

CBSE will bring about two separate merit lists of candidates on the basis of their scores and performance in the exam.

Initial merit list will be on the All India level as a base while the other merit list will be on the basis of state. After the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Result 2016, the candidates have to make choice of their college on the basis of their rank in the merit lists so as to get admission in top level medical colleges all over the India.


Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), the exam organizing jurisdiction of National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test 2016 will announce Medical Entrance Result together for Phase 1 and 2 on or before 17th August, 2016, as per the orders of Supreme Court.

The Joint NEET Result will be announced for those candidates only who will score minimum qualifying marks in test. Candidates, who have appeared for Phase 1 or Phase 2 exam, can check their National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test result 2016 by entering their roll number and date of birth.
