Formation of the body

Examination in management under UGC


The examination that is conducted by University Grant Commission is quite tough. People from any field having completed their post graduation degree are eligible for the examination. For instance if a candidate has completed his post graduation in Management he is eligible to appear in the examination.

The management syllabus also covers subjects like Business administration, marketing management, industrial relations and personnel management etc. It also includes some topics from the graduation level too.

Pattern of examination

Now let’s have a glance at the pattern of the University Grant Commission National Eligibility Test or NET examination.

The candidates have to attend three papers respectively.

Paper I and II will be of 100 marks each and Paper III will be of 150 marks.

Paper I will be objective and general for all the candidates.

And the Paper II and III will be based upon the subjects.

In Paper I there will be 60 questions. Out of which 50 questions must be answered.

It is mandatory.
 
In Paper II and III there will be 50 and 75 questions. All those must be attended. 

There is no relaxation in attending questions in Paper II and III. 

Thus candidates who are appearing for management examinations must be well aware about the TRIPS agreement, foreign exchange market and its regulations, India’s foreign trade and its policies, about WTO or World Trade Organisation etc.

Candidates who will qualify the examination are going to have a very lucrative career. The pay structure is very good.

One thing must also be commented in this connection that candidates who have secured 55% marks in their post graduation degree is only eligible to fill the forms for University Grant Commission examinations.
