6 Creative Spoken English Activities for ESL Beginners
Speaking and listening forms as an integral part of learning a second language. English is a universally spoken language yet there a few who are yet not comfortable in speaking the language, probably no one in their family speaks English or maybe they’re French or German.

Whatever the reason may be, it’s never too late to learn a new language. Google it and you’ll find a huge list of English speaking classes conducting course after graduation for those aspiring to learn the language with full enthusiasm.
Trust me, when you see someone communicate so flawlessly while you’re struggling with the same, you do feel demotivated and ultimately give up. This is natural but we do need to build our confidence level. This can be achieved in two ways but if done simultaneously.
1. Watch YouTube Videos in English
If you’re internet savvy and have previously used YouTube, you’re sorted. The best way to spend your free time is by watching videos that would help you improvise on your pronunciation skills and for a matter of fact, there are many Youtube channels committed to doing that. To name a few channels we have Let’s Talk- English Speaking Lessons, mmm English, English with Lucy etc.
2. Watch News and Weather on the TV or Internet
Inculcating the habit of watching English speaking news, is a good way to initiate a self practice session at home. You’ll often come across sub-titles at the bottom or may be a few advertisements at times, try and read what’s written. Do this on a daily basis; it will improve your vocabulary.
3. Speaking with a Tutor
The more you communicate the better will you be at speaking English fluently but whenever you do so, ensure that the one you’re communicating with is fluent enough so that you can be corrected. The best person to do this with would be your tutor.
4. Communicate with or Talk to Other English Learners
Learning in a group too is a fun idea and what better to do so other than over a cup of coffee with some of your school mates. You don’t need to sit all day long going through notes, that’s boring, you could rather discuss over a few interesting, trending topics, a movie or a TV show may be.
5. Listen to English Music
Music is fun, it rejuvenates but in this case it also teaches provided you listen to some good numbers. The best way to learn an English number just in case you aren’t sure of its lyrics is to google it and sings along. This is a very unique and fun way to learn, do try it out.
6. Watch Clips from Movies and TV Shows
