3-Year LLB or 5-Year LLB Program-Which is better?

This has dramatically changed after economic liberalization as law graduates could explore newer and more lucrative opportunities in areas like property development, human resources, IT and ITES, financial and banking sector, NGOs, corporates, etc.
Law schools have kept up with the changing times with top schools in India developing students with high levels of legal awareness and knowledge.
Two major types of courses associated with law education
The Indian legal education which was nothing much to write about since independence suddenly went into an overdrive mode with the establishment of National Law School of India University (NLSIU) Bangalore in 1986 and the introduction of five-year integrated LLB course after Class 12.
If you want to make a career in law and have just completed your class 12, you need to enrol for 5-year integrated program without any second thoughts. However, if you are a late starter you can opt for 3 year LLB program without any hesitation.
A very important thing to note here, however, is that many of the new generation law schools including the National Law Universities (NLUs) no longer offer 3-year LLB program. So you need to start early if you wish to study in these prestigious law schools.
There are, however, other prestigious 5 year law colleges in India like the one belonging to O P Jindal Global University that offers 5 year law degree in India in addition to 3 year LLB program.
